The Style Experience
This year’s Empact Inc. Gala is a Black Tie affair inspired by the richness and evolution of Black fashion and style—influenced by Dandyism, the Harlem Renaissance, and the vibrant spirit of Juke Joint culture.
This theme honors a legacy of style that is bold, intentional, and deeply rooted in culture, creativity, and self-expression.
Black fashion has long been a powerful form of identity, storytelling, and pride. From the refined elegance of the Harlem Renaissance to the expressive energy of Juke Joint culture, style has served as both a cultural statement and an art form.
Dandyism adds a layer of precision and sophistication—where tailoring, detail, and confidence define the look. Together, these influences create a style that is both timeless and innovative.
This is more than fashion—it is a celebration of culture, creativity, and legacy.
Attire: Black Tie with Cultural Expression
Guests are invited to interpret black tie through the lens of Black fashion, culture, and personal style.
Tailored & Suiting Looks:
Tuxedos or tailored suits with refined details such as bow ties, wide lapels, suspenders, and statement accessories. Hats, pocket squares, and polished shoes are encouraged.
Evening & Dress Looks:
Evening gowns or cocktail dresses featuring elegant fabrics such as satin, silk, fringe, or sequins. Statement accessories, gloves, or headpieces are welcome.
Classic black tie is the foundation—your personal style is the statement.
Come dressed to celebrate culture, honor legacy, and express your unique style.
